Yinka Ayefele, a well-known Nigerian gospel artist, recounted an instance in which he candidly discussed the distressing car accident that recently confined him to a wheelchair alongside his sons.
Ayelefe on Tuesday shared the video on his Instagram account with the caption: “They always want me to stand up… And they kept asking me why every day, even up until last night… I tried hard not to be emotional… Indeed, it was ‘My turning point. 12/12/1997’. To God be the Glory.

In 2019, the musician and his spouse, Temitope, welcomed triplets.
Richard, one of the triplets seen in the video, asked his father why he was able to stand and inquisitively sought out additional information regarding the accident.
Ayefele elucidated on his journey twenty-six years ago, detailing how his vehicle underwent six somersaults before coming to rest in a deep depression amidst a shrubbery.

His words: “I was the one driving, but the road was slippery; that’s how my car tumbled like six times, and it ended in a bush, in a deep pit. A few individuals rescued me when my vehicle was experiencing a push and transported me to the hospital.
Additionally, Ayefele disclosed that he was subsequently transported overseas for additional medical attention.
Ayefele disclosed earlier in the video that his children are distressed about the accident and that they are attempting to inspire him to rise from his wheelchair by performing exercises.
