Kunle Afolayan, a filmmaker and multiple-award-winning actor, dejected over the passing of veteran Nollywood actor Quadri Oyebamiji Tolani, more commonly known as Sisi Quadri.
The internet was consumed with grief by the Yoruba industry a few hours ago, when the news of Sisi Quadri’s demise spread.
His colleague Tunde Olayusuf announced the actor’s untimely death on Instagram, and additional colleagues have expressed their condolences.
Sharing a photo of himself and Sisi Quadri on the set of Anikulapo on Instagram, Kunle Afolayan expressed his profound sorrow over the actor’s passing.
He disclosed that he is speechless and is still attempting to come to terms with the passing of Sisi Quadri. He wished the vibrant actor eternal slumber.
“Sad! Sad! Sad! How do I proceed or what words to utter in response to this?The proverb “T’ibi t’ire la da Ile aye” states as much.Quadri, this is truly shocking; may your spirit rest in peace.
We learned that the actor passed away due to complications with his kidneys. By means of his Instagram page, blogger Seun Oloketuyi disclosed the information.
It is worth noting that on Sunday, May 14, 2023, Murphy Afolabi passed away in Nollywood, causing widespread sorrow.

It was reported that Afolabi had fallen onto bathroom tiles and struck his skull against a hard surface.
That Sunday became known as “Black Day” among Nollywood celebrities, as the film industry lost two actors. The passing of Murphy Afolabi was lamented with somber visuals.
Particularly disconcerting to some was the actor’s demise on May 5th, which would have been his 49th birthday just days prior.
According to Seun Oloketuyi, the actor passed away as a result of a fall on the lavatory tiles.
