In a recent interview with the American media behemoth Billboard News, she revealed this information.
Starr recalled: “At the age of 14, I was accepted to college.” It seems as though my mother has been stopping me from music ever since I was a child.
She stated, “If you wish to pursue a career in music, you must do this.” I initially declined her proposal that we move from Benin Republic to Lagos; however, she persuaded me that Lagos is the epicenter of music.
“She insisted that I complete my secondary education prior to pursuing a career in music.” A significant proportion of the population in Nigeria complete secondary education between the ages of 15 and 16.
