Jean-Michel Martial was born on 18 July 1952 in Tananarive, Madagascar. He was an actor and director, known for Profilage (2009), Léon Gontran Damas, le nègre fondamental (2004) and Bitter Sugar (1998). He died on 17 October 2019 in Paris, France.

Franco-Malagasy actor, director, and producer Jean-Michel Martial was born in Antananarivo, Madagascar, on July 18, 1952, and died in Paris’ 15th arrondissement on October 17, 2019.

He played Commissioner Grégoire Lamarck in Profilage (2009–2020) He was noticed at the 1993 Cannes Film Festival in Raoul Peck’s L’Homme sur les quais, featured in the official selection. His role as Monsieur Honoré in Alexis Michalik’s Théâtre play Edmond (2016) was reprised in 2019 for the film adaptation.

He dubbed the French voices of the Chef and Satan in South Park (1998) and 2018 (South Park), Eskel in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015), and Marsellus Wallace in Pulp Fiction (1994).

President of the Representative Council of French Overseas from September 2016 until June 2019.

After a protracted illness, Jean-Michel Martial, 67, died in Paris on October 17, 2019. His burial is held October 23 at Paris’ Saint-Roch church before his cremation in Père-Lachaise.

He moved to America and appeared in films and TV shows. He also appeared in “The X-Files” (1993-2002), “Alias” (2001-2006), and “Lost” (2004-2010). Benard is married twice and has two kids. His home is in Los Angeles. Approximately $2 million is his net worth.
