Chidinma Adetshina Accepts Invitation to Participate in Miss Universe Nigeria. Pageant Chidinma Adetshina has consented to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 beauty pageant competition.
Adetshina had been embroiled in a social media controversy regarding her eligibility to compete in the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant. The Department of Home Affairs’ discovery of prima facie evidence that the 23-year-old’s mother may have engaged in identity theft and fraud was the final straw in the controversy.
This resulted in Adetshina’s withdrawal from the pageant, despite the fact that she was a finalist just hours prior to the event. Mia Le Roux ultimately emerged winner.
Adetshina accepted an invitation from the administrators of the Miss Universe Nigeria contest to participate in the upcoming event on Wednesday, August 14th, following her withdrawal.
Adetshina initiated the video she posted on Instagram by conveying her appreciation for the love and support that had been extended to her.

“I have decided to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria beauty pageant. I understand the expectations and responsibilities that come with this title, and I am so excited to embark on this journey. I want to say thank you for this opportunity, and I am looking forward to participating in Africa’s most prestigious pageant, Miss Universe Nigeria,” she said.
Murray-Bruce disclosed to reporters during a media briefing on Wednesday that he exerted considerable effort to persuade Adetshina to compete for the title, as she possessed Nigerian blood.
“She had to step down for fear of her family’s and her life. We asked her if she would kindly like to participate in the pageant since she has Nigerian blood. I reached out to the national director, who is my personal friend, and her hands were tied as it was beyond her. We sent a press release on social media, and Chidimma reached out to me,” said Murray-Bruce.
