Afterwards, he told the families of the victims, importantly, “I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania,” Trump said in his statement sighted by PUNCH Online on Sunday.
He went on to express his condolences to the families of the victims stating, “Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured.”
A person from Franklin, Pennsylvania, named John Yeykal reported what he saw: “We saw a lot of people go down, looking confused. I heard the shots, it sounded like between firecrackers and a small caliber handgun.”

Biden says there is no place for violence after the shooting at a Trump event. US sources say the suspected shooter at the Trump rally is dead. Trump then talked about his injury, saying, “I was shot with a bullet that went through the top of my right ear.”

At the first sign of trouble, I knew it was serious: I heard shots and felt the bullet go through my skin right away. There was a lot of bleeding, which is when I noticed what was going on.
Trump was quickly rushed off the stage and into an SUV by the Secret Service. Later, they said the area was still a busy crime scene even though they had confirmed that the “former President is safe.” In his remarks, Trump said, “Nothing is known at this time about the shooter.”
This meant that the shooter is now dead. President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama have both spoken out against the violence and wished Trump a speedy recovery.
Biden said, “There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.”
Obama also said something similar: “There is absolutely no place for political violence in our democracy.”
