Bobrisky describes his imprisonment experience. Idris Okuneye, a controversial crossdresser who is more commonly known as Bobrisky, has recently been released from prison.
He has recently shared his experience of being in jail. Please be reminded that Bobrisky was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre on August 5, 2024, after serving more than four months of his initial six-month sentence.
In April 2024, the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) in Lagos apprehended and detained the crossdresser. She was subsequently sentenced to six months in prison without the possibility of a fine for the abuse of the Nigerian naira.
Bobrisky, who was interviewed by influencer Isbae U on Saturday, described his time in incarceration as a “vacation.”
Bobrisky said, “Well, like you said, you said it’s an excursion. To me I see it like a vacation, you know, vacation to go and rest.”

He added, “I have been working so hard and I think their decision was okay for me. Their decision was to break me but sadly nothing happened to the mummy of Lagos. I am still fine and I’m still good and I will continue to be fine and good.”
He jokingly said prison “fits him”, adding that he will still like to go there for a short term.
During the interview, he also kicked against being addressed as an “ex-convict”.
‘’I am not an ex-convict because I can’t be convicted for spraying my money. I am not an ex-convict. I wouldn’t accept that.”
He stated that he would resume the practice of sprinkling money at events, but he would focus exclusively on the dollar amount. He denied allegations that he was imprisoned in a VIP section that was separate from the prison where other criminals are housed.
