Abuja’s Lead British International School Shut Over Bullying. The Lead British International School has been closed for three days in the wake of a viral video depicting students engaging in abuse at the institution.
On Tuesday, this information was disclosed during a press briefing that was attended by parents at the school.
The school previously stated that it had taken decisive action in response to the distressing viral video depicting a female student being tormented by her peers, as reported by Bigbrothergisthub.
The school administration conveyed its strong aversion towards the occurrence and affirmed the initiation of an inquiry. Social media was in a state of indignation after videos surfaced depicting a female student at the institution being subjected to harassment by her peers during what seemed to be an interrogation session.
A female student repeatedly struck the victim in the presence of other students who seemed to be aware of the incident.

Accompanied by the videos, a Twitter user by the handle @mooyeeeeee issued an SOS demanding justice for the victim and a broader social movement to combat bullying. The X user composed, “I am on the verge of publishing a video. I need your assistance in obtaining justice on her behalf.
She was subjected to bullying at Lead British School, Abuja, by her peers. Could you kindly ensure that it goes viral in order to secure justice for her?” A girl is seen in one of the recordings slapping the victim while posing the question, “Who broke my heart?” In an alternative video, the victim is seated next to a male student who acknowledges,
“I ruined her relationship.” Many members of the public immediately condemned the behaviors depicted in the videos and demanded that the school administration take disciplinary action against the perpetrators.
On Tuesday, however, Abraham Ogunkambi, the Head of Lead British International School, released a statement outlining the measures that the institution is implementing. Ogunkambi stated, “The school administration is approaching this situation with the utmost seriousness.
” Furthermore, the school has initiated communication with the victim and her parents, providing them with counseling and support services to assist them in coping with the incident’s emotional and psychological repercussions, he continued.
Additionally, a commission has been established to conduct an investigation into this incident as well as other allegations of bullying that have surfaced within the school.
