The actress and director, who surpassed one billion dollars in box office revenue as the first Nigerian filmmaker to do so in the past month, has not been reserved about her record-breaking accomplishment.
A Tr!be Called Judah has reportedly grossed more than N1.4 billion in recent months, according to a recent update. The film has undoubtedly gained widespread popularity both domestically and internationally.
Film One conveyed the good news and thanked West Africans and Nigerians for their support in propelling the film to the top of the charts.

It comes as no surprise to many that her film established a box office record in Nigeria by grossing more than one billion naira in the country within four weeks of its release.
One billion, sixty million, seven hundred and eleven thousand, four hundred and ninety-one was the staggering earnings of Funke Akindele.
The three highest-grossing Nollywood films of all time are A Tr!be Called Judah, Battle On Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto The Saga, all of which were directed by Funke Akindele.
At her event commemorating her momentous accomplishment, the award-winning actress was presented with a brand-new automobile.
A Toast To Funke Akindele was the name of an event held in honor of the queen, which surpassed one billion dollars in box office receipts. Prominent guests included Iyabo Ojo, Eniola Ajao, Bisola Aiyeola, Adunni Ade, Kehinde Bankole, Omowunmi Dada, and members of the cast of A Tr!be Called Judah, among others.

As a result, the mother of twins became the highest-grossing director in Nollywood, surpassing Mo Abudu, with Battle on Buka Street and Omo Ghetto The Saga occupying the top two positions at the box office.
Furthermore, Funke Akindele, Mo Abudu, and Ayo Makun had occupied the top three positions on the list of the highest-grossing film producers in Nigeria.
According to a compilation by Top Charts Africa, Mo Abudu, Funke Akindele, and Ayo Makun have amassed film revenues in excess of N1 billion.
