Wunmi, Mohbad’s wife, remembers how hard it was for the singer to make ends meet after they parted ways with Marlian Music since other musicians started to avoid him.
She revealed this information in court on Tuesday when she appeared for the coroner’s inquest in Lagos.

She claimed that Mohbad suffered since several artists had nothing to do with Marlian Music, his previous record label, when he left.

She went on to say that Mohbad was threatened in a variety of ways by his “oppressor.”

She narrated how Mohbad had even attempted to get in touch with several artists, but his messages were never returned.

“E reach out to some artistes but dem no wan relate wit am, aside Olamide and Bella Shmurda. I’m oppressor fit pay anyone to harm my husband and e dey live for fear till im death.”

“Bella Shmurda fed us for about three months when all the trouble was happening because we had nothing.” Mohbad’s wife said.
