    John D.     5.  Ontario Trillium Scholarship The Ontario Trillium 

    Scholarship (OTS) program is an important initiative to attract the best international students to Ontario to pursue doctoral studies.

    The full Canada University Scholarship program aims to recognize students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and creativity and who are recognized as leaders within their school. Special emphasis is placed on the impact the student has had on the life of his or her school and community, and his or her future potential to contribute positively to the global community. 

    Students Awarded annually, these scholarships recognize outstanding students from around the world, including international students studying in Canadian secondary schools. 

    This is U of T’s most prestigious and competitive scholarship for international students. University scholarships at Canada Lester B. Pearson will cover tuition, books, incidental expenses, and full residency support for four years. The scholarship is sustainable only at the University of Toronto for first-entry undergraduate programs. 

    Each year, approximately 37 students will be named Lester B. Pearson Scholars. To become a Pearson Scholar, you must be nominated by your school and apply for undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. 

    Once you have been nominated and submitted your application to the University of Toronto, you will be sent a secure, personalized Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship application link. 

    Pearson Scholars are students who have demonstrated exceptional creativity and academic achievement, who are accepted as leaders within their school, and who have the potential to contribute to the global community in the future. 

    They can distinguish themselves from other students who may have equally high academic results by virtue of their breadth of interest, intellectual energy, and impact on the life of their school and community.

    These scholarships, which are given out every year, honor deserving students from all around the world, including those who are studying abroad in secondary schools in Canada.

    For overseas students, this is the most prestigious and competitive award offered by U of T. Canadian university scholarships For four years, Lester B. Pearson will pay for all living expenses, books, tuition, and miscellaneous costs. 

    Only first-entry undergraduate programs at the University of Toronto are eligible for the award. The Lester B. Pearson Scholars will be awarded to about 37 students annually.

    You must apply to the University of Toronto for undergraduate study after being nominated by your school in order to be considered a Pearson Scholar. After submitting your application to the University of Toronto and being nominated, you will receive a link to apply for the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship that is safe and unique to you.

    7.  Calgary University Graduate Awards

    Elizabeth Cannon Scholarship for Graduate Study in Entrepreneurial Thought

    established with the goal of assisting and motivating graduate students to take part in business ventures that would enhance the thriving community of Calgary. These two-year, $20,000 Canadian scholarships are awarded.

    International Graduate Scholarship Fund

    At the University of Calgary, these Canadian university scholarships help with both the admission and retention of overseas students.

    The student will not receive their reward back; it will be applied straight toward tuition. In Canada, a $3000 university scholarship consists of $1000 paid in the fall, $1000 in the winter, $500 in the spring, and $500 in the summer.

    10.  International Student Entrance Scholarship, University of Waterloo

    Twenty $10,000 university scholarships are available from the University of Waterloo each year to deserving international applicants who are accepted into their first year of an undergraduate program.

    Foreign applicants who are accepted and have an admission average of 90% or above will be taken into consideration.

    In addition to any additional faculty-specific admission scholarship requirements, selection will be made on the basis of academic achievement. Apps are not necessary.

    11.  Winnipeg University

    President’s Scholarships for World Leaders, Winnipeg

    With great pleasure, the University of Winnipeg is able to provide 53 Canadian university entrance scholarships to first-time international students.

    Candidates must engage in leadership-oriented activities and have a minimum admission average of 80% or above.

    Value: $5,000 is the approximate value of the University of Winnipeg President’s Scholarships for World Leaders for Graduate Students.

    12.  International Graduate Student Scholarship, University of Manitoba

    In order to honor and reward the quality of international graduate students pursuing master’s degrees at the University of Manitoba, the Faculty of Graduate Studies offers university scholarships in Canada.

    Graduate students who meet the following requirements will be eligible for the scholarships, which have a value equal to the international differential tuition rate: they must be international students, meaning they must be in Canada on study permits; they must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 based on their last 60 credit hours (or equivalent) of study, or their last two full years’ equivalent;  they must demonstrate great promise as researchers and graduate students; and they must not be the recipients of external grants that cover their tuition.

    These scholarships cannot be used in conjunction with the International Graduate Student Entrance Scholarship or the International Graduate Student Bursary, but they may be used in conjunction with the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship (UMGF) and other grants provided by the university.

    In order to pay for tuition, Canadian university scholarships will be applied first. Depending on available funds, the selection committee will have the authority to decide on the quantity and value of awards given out each year. Scholarships will be given out until all of the available money is used.
