The video rapidly went viral and generated a contentious discussion about whether or not it was appropriate to broadcast such material online. It was shared on a number of social media platforms.

The Ebony Lady received mixed reviews from viewers for objectifying herself and promoting unfavorable stereotypes about black women, with some praising her for being comfortable in her own skin and enjoying her body.

Many claimed that these videos are detrimental to the struggle for equality and respect since they simply serve to perpetuate the sexualization and exploitation of black women.
