Simi and Brymo

Lawale LFR, also known as Brymo, was embroiled in controversy after he publicly revealed that he had turned down a music collaboration with Simi because she refused to have an intimate relationship with him.

The controversy began when Brymo posted an audio clip on his social media platform in which he disclosed his decision not to collaborate with Simi due to her alleged rejection of his advances.

Adekunle Gold, Simi’s husband, issued a stern warning to Brymo, imploring him to “stay away” from his wife and to stop “disrespecting” his family.

In a recent interview with TVC, Brymo defended his actions as an “artistic pursuit.”

In his explanation, he described an earlier meeting with Adekunle Gold, who had requested a collaboration.

Brymo declined, citing his lack of interest in collaborations at the time.

Later, when Simi approached him for a collaboration, he insisted that he would only collaborate closely with the artist to create an intense instrumental connection, citing her previous relationship with Adekunle Gold as an illustration.

Brymo emphasized that he had collaborated musically with a number of women without any sexual overtures, elaborating that the incident with Simi was not about soliciting sex for collaboration but rather artistic considerations.
