    Superstar Nigerian performers Davido and Rema brought pride to their nation by winning multiple prizes at the inaugural Trace prizes, held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, in Kigali, Rwanda.

    The award seeks to celebrate the creativity, talent, and influence of African and Afro-inspired music and artistes.

    During the ceremony yesterday, Rema won the ‘Song of the Year’ category for the hit song ‘Calm Down’ while the ‘Best Global African Artiste’ was a tie between the Nigerian and Nomcebo.

    Davido on his part, emerged as the winner of the ‘Best Male’ and ‘Best Collaboration’ categories while Burna Boy won ‘Album of the Year’.

    The awards ceremony was hosted by Nigerian singer, D’Banj, and Angolan global supermodel, Maria Borges.
