Beauty Turkura, an expelled housemate from the seventh season of Big Brother, is a lawyer, according to John Aikpokpo-Martins, the Ist Vice President of the Nigeria Bar Association.

According to his assertion, a search of the Roll of Legal Practitioners in the Supreme Court and the Nigerian Bar Association did not yield the name “Beauty Tukura.” 

The disclaimer was issued less than 48 hours after Beauty Tukura, a previous roommate and renowned attorney, was booted from the popular reality show for fighting with a fellow contestant.

BEAUTY TAKURA, LAWYER AND FORMER MISS NIGERIA, WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM BBNAIJA 7.

According to news reports, one Beauty Tukura, who claimed and/or claims to be a lawyer, participated in and was disqualified from the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show “for tossing her wig and spectacles at” a fellow contestant following a party.

Almost all members of the legal profession have regarded these rumors as extremely embarrassing, and if proven accurate, they will likely bring shame to the profession. 

A brief search of the databases of the Supreme Court Roll of Legal Practitioners and the Nigerian Bar Association did not uncover the name “Beauty Tukura” on the Supreme Court Roll or as a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. 

However, I am appealing to anyone who may know her real name, assuming that we may have gotten it incorrect, to contact me.

My response;

With the errors corrected in this letter addressing this, I still do not believe the statement, but that does not mean I believe her either. While I am open to being proven wrong in the case of any reoccurring events, I believe there is insufficient evidence on both sides.
