Ladoke Akintola University of technology (Lautech) has called off the unending strike amid the ongoing Asuu strike.. Ladoke Akintola University is considered one of the best state universities in Nigeria of which is also part of Asuu(Academic Staff Union of Universities)..
Asuu began the strike and the quest for revitalization of funds and rehabilitation of institutions since 14th if February, 2022; FG has turned deaf ears to their demands and on the other side, Asuu is unwilling to yield to their request. They promise not to reopen institutions and vowed that they wouldn’t give any chance to be guilt-tripped or leverage on their deficiencies.
The school was established on the 23rd of April 1990; one of the newly created Universities but has gone to displace many old institutions.
Lautech operates on two campuses, in other words, the main campus is situated at “Ogbomosho” and the freshly created College of agriculture and renewables resources in “Iseyin”…
Governor of Oyo state, Engn. Seyi Makinde has ordered for the reopening of the school and asked to shun the Asuu strike that seems unending.. he gave an order some hours ago to depart from the Asuu strike and quick resumption of academic activities..
However, the school is renowned for moral decadence and juvenile delinquency, immoral acts such as sex tape leaking and cultism..
On a good note, the school is known for grooming and equipping students to be better at technologies and conducive academia..
